PAMI receives grant from federal government

Equipment improvements coming to PAMI

MELFORT, Sask. – Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) recently benefited from a federal grant of over $600,000.

The money comes from Prairies Economic Development Canada and the Western Diversification Program.

PAMI President Leah Olson says the money will be for improvements and new equipment.

“This upgrade which allows us to better serve our clients per our five-year strategic plan,” Olson said. “Clients will experience less set-up time to get their testing done meaning they will be able to make informed decisions about their product development and performance quicker.”

PAMI will upgrade its hydraulic machinery testing system. There will also be new digital equipment at PAMI in Portage la Prairie, Man. which will be used to help improve product design and performance opportunities for manufacturers while reducing product failure rates.

PAMI has studied, designed, built, and tested machines, machine components and processes since 1975.

PAMI also has a facility in Humboldt, Sask.
